What a ball this was in Alpha, NJ in June 2003! Designed to inspire the kids to join band/stay in band, this event included speaking about the benefits of music, facing challenges, performing for the kids, and calling them up for an interactive session! A GREAT audience!

Founder of the ever popular guitar technique known as "tapping" or "touch virtuoso," Stanley Jordan paved the way for guitar superstars such as Jimmy Webster, Eddie Van Halen, and Emmett Chapman. He is truly an amazing player and revolutionized guitar playing in the 20th century! Some of the tunes we played were "Oye Como Va", "Superstition" and "Bring it on Home". Stanley did an empowering "Oh Holy Night" solo; One would surely understand how music can be healing after hearing it! Click the pic to read about him! Next to Buddy Schutz. Buddy is 90 years old and drummed for some of the best (along with Gene Krupa & Davey Tough), to include Benny Goodman and Jimmy Dorsey. When they thought of adding sound to movies, they called up Buddy to add a drum part! Click on the pic to get to one of his big credits!
January 2003, a 3 hour clinic @ my alma mater, Dumont High School. I had a blast! What a great group of talented kids! Needless to say, we had a lot to talk about!
