FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dumont, October 1, 2004 - It is not uncommon for people to sometimes find themselves in periods marked with boredom, or lacking purpose and hope. In such times, seeking a change or an escape, they might drift toward activities that are far from constructive. However, in this day and age, more positive alternatives exist outside of some of the more common resorts; one such option is studying drums.
"I saw how much my life changed when I found a drum mentor I trusted in," says Dumont-based Drum Teacher & Writer, Dan Britt. "People could give me positive advice till they were blue in the face, but it took music to get through to me - it took a drummer I looked up to and respected greatly. And, seeing how powerful that dynamic was, I wanted to pass this on, so I began teaching drums. And, this has been the most rewarding choice I've made. I started getting students who were willing to drive pretty far distances for the sessions, and people who found the sessions personally-enriching. That really reinforced this path to inspire."
"We are fortunate to have Dan as an inspiration for Adrian, and look forward to his continued involvement" states Alec Lowenstein, father of Adrian and Livingston, NJ resident. But one short talk with Dan will reveal his quickness to owe his thanks to the inspiration of Drumming Legend and Author of "Cycle of Self-Empowerment", Dom Famularo. "Dom showed an interest in my own personal growth. He helped discover and uncover my strengths, while at the same time, encouraging me to face my challenges. I try to take that same approach with all of my own students, whether at the local schools or in my private teaching. And this has continually reaped rewards in what I call a 'win-win' situation."
